Children naturally observes and inquires the world around him looking for answers to their questions “¿why?” and “how?” Exploration Zone represents a space for constructive search and re-search on an everyday basis. This program gives the teacher tools to know how, why and for what teach natural sciences from the scientific method.
Project Components.
1. Space of search and re-search
15 big questions (Experiments) that relate the school´s context with National Curriculum triggers and suggests building an exploration space where every kid (K-12) from the school can actively participate exchanging, looking and expressing their findings. Each big question brings information and 3 experimental activities that contribute in the right direction of generating new knowledge by collaboration, involvement role and experimentation.
2. Experimental KIT
A well thought kit of materials that are easy to find and substitute in the rural context allowing every kid K-12 to safely actively participate on the experiments.
3. Capacity building and practical training of teachers.
